Optional Severity-Based Illness Cover

Everybody’s family is unique—and your life insurance should reflect this. Our Your Way policy lets you choose the features and benefits that matter to you.

This cover provides a lump sum payment that draws down on your main life insurance cover, to assist with medical and out-of-pocket expenses while you’re recovering from certain illnesses or injuries. Later, your family can access your remaining life insurance cover in the event of your passing. It can help you in life and your family in death.

How does it work?

Once you’ve completed our Life Insurance application form, if eligible, you can choose up to 100% of your life insurance cover to a maximum of $250,000 across the following: Major Illness and Cancer Cover. Your medical history will be required for Major Illness and Cancer Cover.

When you add optional Major Illness Cover or Cancer Cover we keep your premiums down by linking your covers. This means you have one main Life Insurance cover amount. If you need to claim on any of the optional benefits, the payment is “drawn down” from this main cover amount. This way, you don’t have to buy separate policies, or pay the higher costs that can sometimes result from doing so.
